The National Rugby League has opened an investigation targeting Béziers scrum-half Samuel Marques, the team announced this Friday. The Portuguese international would be summoned before the disciplinary committee after having behaved inappropriately during the Rugby Night ceremony on September 23 in Paris.
On September 23, Samuel Marques was one of the many players invited during Rugby Night, organized by Canal +. Winner of the prize for best Pro D2 player during this evening, the Portuguese international would have intended to celebrate his coronation with alcohol during the reception. According to information from the Teamthe scrum half from Béziers was visibly drunk among many influential players in French rugby and allegedly behaved inappropriately towards a hostess. The player allegedly wanted to order alcohol from a stand that only served fruit juices and sodas and expressed his displeasure by throwing the contents of a glass and spitting in the woman's face. The latter would have informed her superiors, without filing a complaint.

While Marques faces suspension, this affair resembles a new slip-up by an ASBH player.
