Difficulty parking on rugby match evenings in ? Solutions exist

USON rugby matches have resumed. And with the work on the road, spectators must make their own arrangements to arrive at the stadium. Solutions exist.

On USON match nights, parking can seem difficult, especially with the work currently being carried out on the Route de Lyon.

But there are various options for getting to the stadium without the stress of parking.

Carpool

At the start of the 2024/2025 season, USON announced a new feature around carpooling, initiated by the National Rugby League. Go to the NRL website, register and offer to share your journey to home matches, and even away matches.
Free shuttles

Taneo always offers four buses, which each make three tours on match nights. Each bus can carry between 80 and 100 people. On average, between 800 and 1,000 people choose this way to get to the stadium.

These free shuttles, with times that change depending on the match kick-off time.

Rotations 1h30 before kick-off

This special line begins its rotations 1 hour 30 minutes before kick-off, until kick-off, every 7 minutes. For example, for a match at 7:30 p.m., the first shuttle will leave at 6:04 p.m. from the Champ de Foire and the last at 7:21 p.m.

Departing from the Champ de Foire, the stops served are: Pont-Cizeau, La Maison, Pré Fleuri stadium (entrance A). Then, the driver goes to Clos Ry (former Mercedes parking lot), before turning around.

premium Lines, prices, on demand… Everything you need to know about taking the bus in

For the return, the first departure is scheduled for 9:15 p.m., the last at 10:13 p.m.

Two shuttles head towards Clos Ry and two head towards Nevers.

For spectators, you must park at the Champ de Foire, in the various car parks in the city center (below the Mercure hotel for example), or, for those coming from the south and west, at the Clos car park Ry (formerly Mercedes, with a capacity of 1,500 seats). These parking lots are free.

Receive our USON Match Day newsletter by email and find essential and exclusive information on your favorite club.

Please note, however, that the private parking at Clos Ry is subject to site closure at the end of the shuttle service.

On foot, by bike

The Pré Fleuri stadium is a “city center” stadium. If time permits, going to the match can be an opportunity for a little “warm-up” before admiring the exploits of the players. And, on the way back, the walk to debrief!

For bicycle traffic, the deployment of secure cycle paths and bicycle racks is planned in the various phases of work.

By car

For motorists, the club reminds that a few parking spaces (P58) are on sale during match weeks, on Tuesdays at 9 a.m.

Parking on sidewalks (prohibited by the highway code) is however tolerated on match evenings with the exception of vehicles parked in front of an entrance or exit to a gate or garage; vehicles completely obstructing pedestrian traffic on the sidewalks (people with reduced mobility are also impacted by this type of behavior and are forced to get off the road to reach the stadium, which causes dangerous situations).

These behaviors can be punished if local residents are blocked.

Carte PMR

For parking for people with a PMR parking card with photo, these users can hope to benefit from a space either on P0, route de Lyon within the limit of available spaces, or in parking P58, upon presentation of their badge, through the entrance to the rue des car park.
