The Argentinian complainant who accuses the two French international rugby players of rape maintains her accusations in an interview given to the newspaper Le Parisien.
“They are two rapists, two bad apples who should never be allowed to play rugby again.”Maria, the young woman who accuses Oscar Jegou and Hugo Auradou of raping her, does not have words harsh enough to describe the two rugby players in an interview given this week to the newspaper Le Parisien.

The 39-year-old woman describes her unhappiness, particularly since the two French people were allowed to return to France. “It’s an injustice”she cries. She wanted to speak out because she believes that “Justice abandons me. And to respond to the players’ lawyers, Rafael Cuneo Libarona and Antoine Vey, who lie, humiliate me, discredit me and insult me. I also speak so that society knows what happened and for all the rape victims who do not dare to file a complaint.”
The complainant maintains her version of events, despite the return to France of the two players and the prospect of a dismissal raised by their lawyers. “The facts happened exactly as I described them (several rapes accompanied by blows, bites, scratches, strangulation and sequestration). I maintain everything I said. I am not lying.”she certifies.
“An irreparable evil”
Since the revelation of the facts, and of her identity by one of the Argentinian lawyers of the two French players, Maria explains that she no longer goes out and has almost no interaction with the outside world. “I am socially isolated. I don’t want to see or talk to anyone. I don’t go out anymore, I stay locked up at home with my parents. I take care of my daughter. I receive psychological and psychiatric support.”She is also concerned about her own safety, pointing out that Rafael Cuneo Libarona, one of Oscar Jegou and Hugo Auradou’s lawyers, is also the brother of the Argentine Minister of Justice. “I fear for my life and that of my family. There are powerful people and many political interests involved in the case.”
“Be an example”
This mother of two children (a little girl and an older boy) therefore maintains her accusations against the two players. “I want them to be convicted. They raped me, abused me and treated me like a piece of meat, assures the young woman. A dismissal is possible since money can buy silence. I am not afraid that they will sue me in turn (for defamation), because they are the guilty ones. The harm they have done to me is irreparable.”
She finally said she wanted “to be an example” for the victims “who do not dare to file a complaint.”
