Linette heard by the Senate

A man in demand. While he finally obtained the sponsorships to run for the presidency of the LFP, notably against Vincent Labrune, Cyril Linette will therefore run for this position on September 10. The next day, another meeting awaits him. At the Senate, where he will be questioned as part of the senatorial information mission investigating the presence of investment funds in French football.

A public and broadcast session

Linette, who can ask to be interviewed on another date, should be questioned, among others, by Laurent Lafon, president of this mission, and Michel Savin, rapporteur of the mission. This session will be public and broadcast on the Senate website.

Like his predecessors before the Upper House, the former head of sports at Canal + will have to prepare to answer around forty questions sent by the senatorial mission.

With the main themes being the consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic, the failure of Mediapro, the role of investment funds, the creation of the LFP’s commercial subsidiary and the contribution of CVC. It remains to be seen whether Linette will intervene that day as the new president of the LFP.
