Too much to drink – Friends of a young man alerted authorities after he disappeared during a drunken night out
On the night of Friday to Saturday, in Lège-Cap-Ferret, in the Arcachon Basin, significant police resources were deployed to find a young man who had disappeared during a drunken evening. According to South Westthe latter’s friends and partner imagined the worst while being very far from the truth.
They were two couples and had rented a house to spend the weekend by the sea. To celebrate, they had a little party on Friday, drinking as it should be, or even a little more. “Tired”, one of the two boys in the group fell asleep on the couch while the others went to bed in their rooms. Except that in the middle of the night, the girlfriend of the other young man noticed that he was no longer there.
Patrols by gendarmes and helicopters
According to our colleagues, the last three members of the group searched the house and the garden, in vain. All they found were his shoes and his phone. A sign all the more worrying since the friends finally contacted the police.
The case was taken seriously by the authorities who sent patrols of gendarmes to survey the surrounding area. A helicopter was also responsible for flying over the area. A waste of resources that yielded nothing. The so(…) - 20minutes
