Gabon has concluded four billion dollars of agreements with China

Gabon has taken stock of the economic agreements concluded with China during the last China-Africa summit held from September 4 to 6 in Beijing. In total, the agreements concluded reach a value of four billion dollars.

The Gabonese delegation arrived in Chine with 22 programs and projects in the pipeline. Proposals that were the subject of intense discussions at the China Economic Forum – Gabon.

Among these projects is the construction of a railway that will cross Gabon from the east to the southwest. This railway will allow the transport of 60 to 100 million tons of iron and manganese per year.

Libreville has asked Beijing to build a deep-water port at Mayumba and a hydroelectric dam with a capacity of 400 to 600 MW at Boué in central Gabon.
