LVMH honors those who will make the fashion of tomorrow

C’has become one of the most anticipated events in the microcosm for those who want to sense the future of the industry. This year again, the LMVH prize for young fashion designers did not disappoint the happy few invited this Tuesday, September 10 to the Louis-Vuitton Foundation in Paris. In front of the paintings of Ellsworth Kelly, currently in the spotlight in the museum, two large hanging racks hosted some of the pieces imagined by the eight finalists of this eleventh edition.

Cream of the crop

On stage, Delphine Arnault, founder of the prize and CEO of Dior, was accompanied by eight of the artistic directors of the group’s houses who, as every year, have the mission of choosing the winners. The cream of the crop that we rarely see gathered in the same place: from Marc Jacobs to Jonathan Anderson (Loewe) via Maria Grazia Chiuri (Dior) and Pharrell Williams (Louis Vuitton men’s collections), in videoconference from Toronto. Not to mention the designer as discreet as she is venerated Phoebe Philo, whose new eponymous brand electrifies her former clients from the Celine era.
