Seven other departments in the South are on orange alert for rain, flooding, storms or floods.
“A road collapse occurred on the RN134 in the commune of Urdos, between the town centre and the Somport tunnel”said the Pyrénées-Atlantiques prefecture, publishing the photo of the damaged road. The daily Southwest specifies that vehicles can no longer circulate between Gurmençon and the Spanish border.
In Etsaut, a village square “destroyed”

In addition, Creuse, Haute-Vienne, Corrèze and Dordogne are on orange alert for rain and flooding until at least 3 p.m. Drome and Ardèche are on orange alert for storm risks.
In the rest of France, an active line of storms will cross eastern Occitanie in the afternoon, towards Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté and Hauts-de-France. It will give fairly brief but intense rains, sometimes accompanied by hail and gusts of wind.
