CINEMA – Maleficent. Singer and actress Lady Gaga made a remarkable arrival in her Black Widow outfit on the red carpet of the Venice Film Festival this Wednesday, September 4, as she came to present the film Joker: Madness for Two directed by Todd Phillips.

Black horned headdress with lace covering half of her face, black puffy dress… the American star who plays Harley Quinn arrived on the arm of her companion Michael Polansky in a costume reminiscent of Angelina Jolie’s in the film Evil, remake en live action de Sleeping Beauty released in 2014.
Joker: Madness for Two brings together the pop star and Joaquin Phoenix, the crazy Joker who made an impression in 2019. The film surprisingly won the Golden Lion but was deeply divisive, sparking criticism over its violence, which was sometimes considered gratuitous.

Todd Phillips warned, this new opus “is not a sequel.” Joaquin Phoenix, however, takes up the title role where he left off. Interned in Arkham Asylum, the Joker is taken out to answer to justice for the five murders committed in the first part.
In Joker: Madness for TwoLady Gaga presents herself as an asylum resident, the only one capable of understanding the tormented soul of the anti-hero. The two main characters will form a chaotic love affair in this feature film which also includes many sung passages, in the style of a musical comedy.
