But the head of state of the Comoros did not come to the religious ceremony he was expected to attend. Nevertheless, the Comorian government wants to reassure about the state of health of President Azali Assoumani.

According to Mahamoud Salim Hafi, deputy secretary general of the government, the absence of the head of state is linked to a medical recommendation: ” You know that the president was slightly injured as was announced on Saturday at a press conference. Today, it is these doctors who have given a recommendation that the head of state rest. There is no mystery or silence. It is just a question of common sense on our part. On Tuesday, he will resume his activities. »
Questions about the attacker’s death
While Fahmi Said Ibrahim El Maceli, lawyer and former Minister of State, condemns the attack against Azali Assoumani, he also believes that gray areas persist surrounding the death of Ahmed Abdou, the assailant.
