After its separation, “Trois Cafés Gourmands” is relaunching with a new singer.

CULTURE – Three gourmet coffees, the return. The Corrèze group is recovering from a separation with its singer Mylène Madrias, who left in the summer of 2023 to launch a solo career after fifteen years of “ common professional life ». In an interview with The Mountain Published this Sunday, September 8, Sébastien Gourseyrol and Jérémy Pauly announce that they are preparing a brand new album… with a brand new singer.

“During our last tour, the public knew that Mylène was going to leave the group”Jérémy Pauly told the newspaper. “With Sébastien, we had already started working on our new album, but our questions and doubts persisted. Every time we went on stage, people told us: “Don’t stop. We need you. You do us good.” ».

“We wondered if we should take backing singers on stage to accompany us (to replace Mylène Madrias, Editor’s note)”he continues. “Very quickly, we said to ourselves: Trois Cafés Gourmands, what is that? It’s two guitars and three voices, one of which is female.”

A woman from Toulouse joins the Corrèze group

It was finally with a woman from Toulouse, Julie Santamans, that they decided to continue their adventure. It was the ” thunderbolt ” between the three singers, who met thanks to Aurélie Cabrel, the daughter of Francis Cabrel. “She ticked all the boxes”recalls Sébastien Gourseyrol, “There are things that cannot be explained. For me, it was obvious.”

The trio is currently recording a fourth album. An excerpt was posted on their Instagram account, as you can see below.

Julie Santamans began her singing career at the age of 16. Now 22, she varies between almost all musical styles: jazz, French song, soul, classical… The artist has notably performed in several musicals.

You may have also already seen her on your television screen, since she participated in the show Don’t forget the lyricspresented by Nagui, in 2012. She won 35,000 euros. Her voice can also be found in some of Florent Pagny’s songs, as a backing singer.
