Al-Marini pledges to achieve “best results” in the Paris 2024 Paralympics – Al-Omq Al-Riyadi

Saeed Al-Marini, Technical Director of the Royal Moroccan Federation of Sports for People with Disabilities, revealed the latest preparations of Moroccan champions to participate in the Paralympic Games, Paris 2024, scheduled to start on the 29th of this month, stressing the readiness of all participants in this international event.

“Moroccan athletes are in high spirits and are determined to achieve the best results during this edition of the Paralympics,” Al-Marini told the Maghreb Arab Press Agency. He pointed out that the Moroccan sports delegation arrived at the Olympic Village last Wednesday, where they are staying in good conditions, and that they will begin training according to a program drawn up by the technical committee, whether for athletes with disabilities or the blind and visually impaired, in preparation for the actual start of the competitions next Thursday.

The same spokesman noted that the medical team accompanying the Moroccan sports delegation also began its work inside the Olympic Village, where a space was allocated to conduct periodic examinations of the athletes, monitor their health status, and supervise their nutritional program.

The technical director confirmed that “the preparations for this global event went well, both inside and outside Morocco, thanks to the capabilities provided by the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports to the universities concerned, in order to enable them to prepare their champions in appropriate conditions.”

It is noteworthy that Morocco won 38 medals during its Paralympic participations, 16 of which were gold, 11 silver, and 11 bronze, most of which were in athletics, with a total of 34 medals, while the other four medals were divided between swimming, triathlon, and powerlifting. The national team won the bronze medal in blind futsal during the last Tokyo Games.
