eleven medals including two titles, the Blues in the final of blind football, relive the day of September 5

France had a great day, with eleven medals and some great moments:

  • Road Cycling: Successful day with four medals, two gold (Florian Jouanny et Mathieu Bosredon) and two in silver (Loïc Vergnaud et Johan Quaile). 5th place for Anaïs Vincentand premature exit from the road for Joseph Fritsch who fell at the start of the race.

  • Swimming: Almost all the French participants reached the podium. Ugo Didier et Hector Denayer came 2nd and 3rd in the 200m medley SM9, and Laurent Chardard took bronze in the 100m freestyle. Elodie Lorandi only finished 6th in the 400m freestyle.

  • Judo : Sandrine Martinet lost in the final against the world number 1 and leaves Paris with a new silver medal. Anatole Rubin (- 60 kg) came out in the 8th round.

  • Athletics: Money also for Timothy Adolphe in the 100 m T11, with his guide Charles Renard. No medal, however, for Mandy-François Elie, Alexandra Nouchet et Pierre Fairbank. The flag bearer Waited for Keita qualified for the final of the 400m T13.

  • Blind football: Qualification for the final of Blues after their success against Colombia (1-0). They will face Argentina, the surprise winner of Brazil on penalties.

  • Fencing: The French foil won bronze by beating Italy (45-36) in the third-place play-off.

  • Shooting: Bronze for Jean-Louis Michaud in prone rifle shooting at 50 m SH1. Cedric Fèvre did not make it to the final.

  • Archery: Elimination of the France from the 8th against Poland (0-6).

  • Basketball: The Blues lost to the Netherlands (63-72) and will face Spain tomorrow for 7th place.
