According to information from BFMTV, Benoît Magimel was the victim of a burglary at his home, located in the 16th arrondissement of Paris. The 50-year-old actor discovered the facts on the evening of Tuesday, September 3, before going to the police station to file a complaint.

According to initial findings on site, the burglar(s) acted between August 16 and the evening of Tuesday, while Benoît Magimel was away from home.

The damage is estimated at 80,000 euros.

The thieves took advantage of the opportunity to steal several luxury watches and, above all, the three Césars, the ultimate distinction of his peers in French cinema, gleaned during his rich career.

Benoît Magimel is the only one to have won two consecutive Césars for best actor in 2022 and 2023. He also won the César for best supporting actor in 2016.

According to BFMTV, the damage is estimated at nearly 80,000 euros. Investigators from the 1st judicial police district (DPJ) of Paris have been tasked with the investigations.

This is not the first time that Benoît Magimel’s home has been the scene of such a theft. In June 2023, the actor had already been the victim of a burglar. At the time, luxury watches and designer handbags, for a loss of around 100,000 euros, had been stolen from his home.

A suspected perpetrator was quickly identified and arrested.
