Whether the scene takes place between two grills of a fast food restaurant, behind a bank counter or in the shed of a luxury store, “the customer is king”, managers are constantly telling their teams. Gone are the days when the term client meant someone who entrusted their interests to a lawyer. Unfriendly, worrying or just plain crazy… Employees have confided in Release the most lunar experiences they have had with clients. Today, Bouchra, a 33-year-old beautician, recounts her hair removal session with a particularly contemptuous client.

“Just before Covid, I opened my own beauty salon. I always had the dream of working for myself, of no longer working for someone else. I found a small, very cozy space on a colorful, almost car-free street in the 10th arrondissement of Paris – many Instagrammers come to enjoy the colorful storefronts.
