: a knife attack in a supermarket leaves one injured, the anti-terrorism prosecution seized

A man was arrested and taken into police custody after attacking a customer with a knife in a supermarket in Apt () this Saturday, shouting “Allah Akbar”, the national anti-terrorism prosecutor's office (PNAT) informed Le Parisien. who took up the matter, confirming information from Actu17.

The events took place at the end of the day, this Saturday. A man, armed with a knife, entered a supermarket in Apt, before attacking a customer. The assailant shouted “Allah Akbar” during his gesture, according to the PNAT.

The attacker was overpowered by a security guard, who managed to disarm him. Two victims were slightly injured, a customer and the security guard. They were picked up by firefighters and taken to hospital for treatment. At this time, their vital prognosis is not engaged.

The attacker, a 32-year-old man, was taken into police custody. Born in Apt, he is already known to the police for several acts, “in particular for criminal conspiracy”, specifies a police source to Le Parisien. According to our colleagues at Actu17, he is also registered with the FSPRT (report processing file for the prevention of terrorist radicalization). Information which has not been confirmed by the PNAT.
