Lhe American department of the Interior said on Friday that he had officially changed the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the “Gulf of America”, and the highest point in the United States, Alaska, Mount Denali, has once again become Mount MCKINLEY.
President Donald Trump ordered these name changes as part of a series of executive measures announced a few hours after taking office on Monday, making a campaign promise.

“In accordance with the instructions of the president, the Gulf of Mexico will now be officially known as the Gulf of America and the highest summit in North America will once again bear the name of Mont McKinley,” said the department of Interior in a press release.
“Preserve the extraordinary heritage of the United States”
The imposing summit was already called Mont McKinley, in honor of the former President of the United States William McKinley, before being renamed Denali-which means “high” in the Koyukon language.
-“These changes reaffirm the commitment of the nation to preserve the extraordinary heritage of the United States and to ensure that the future generations of Americans celebrate the heritage of its heroes and its historical assets,” added the department.
