The Canadian collects a first defeat against the Red Wings this season

Three players from the Canadian reached an important set during Thursday’s meeting against the Red Wings. Brendan Gallagher played his 800th match in the NHL, while it was a 500th for Patrik Laine and Christian Dvorak.

Michael Pezzetta also made a return to the training.

Montreal may have won the first two duels between the two teams this season, but we shouldn’t expect it to be an easy match.

Here is the alignment of Canadians:

And here is the one of the Red Wings:

The Habs completely escaped him in the first period. Canadian players have only faded on the Red Wings nets throughout the period.

The worst part is that Detroit was able to direct 17 shots to the net of Samuel Montembeault. It’s just crazy.

In simple comparison, the capital had dowled 17 shots against the Canadian during their last confrontation and there had been an extension!

In front of so much attack, Montembeault ended up flank. Jonatan Berggren opened the brand in the middle of the period.

Then, at the very end of the period, the Red Wings took advantage of a digital advantage to double their advance. Montembeault has completely bitten passing, which allowed Alex Debrincat to score in a left -wing net, only a few seconds after the end of the penalty at Kirby Dach.

The first 20 minutes of this match were therefore to be forgotten for the Canadian, who retired in the locker room late by the brand from 2 to 0.

The Canadian’s digital advantage is doing very well this season. However, he committed a serious blunder by letting Andrew Copp escape.

The Red Wings therefore led by three goals.

The good news for Canadians is that they have been able to reduce the hemorrhage with a first goal in this match.

Christian Dvorak was convinced that he had marked his 500th match in the NHL, but it was finally Kirby Dach who opened the brand for Montreal.

Detroit was finally able to restore an advance of three goals. Dylan Larkin took advantage of a Montembeault gift to mark in digital advantage.

Montembeault really did not experience a superb match.

Kaiden Guhle gave the Canadian players in the middle of the second period. His shooting of the blue line wrists made a way behind Cam Talbot.

After two periods, the Canadians still pulled back from two goals, this time by the brand of 4 to 2.

All means are good to come back from the back. Cole Caufield played long minutes in the third period, who took the place of Michael Pezzetta on the fourth trio in addition to playing on the first trio of CH.

In the middle of the third period, Christian Fischer was convinced that he had scored a fifth goal for the Red Wings, but the officials immediately canceled the goal because Michael Rasmussen came into contact with Montembeault.

The Red Wings asked for the revision of the sequence, but the referees have not changed their decision.

The tricolor was therefore entitled to a digital advantage, but it was unsuccessful.

Montembeault may not have experienced an easy match, but its performance can be excused by the fact that the Red Wings have fading 45 shots on him during the match. His teammates really did not help him.

Martin St-Louis withdrew Montembeault in the last minutes of the match, but Montreal was not able to score a single small goal. Juraj Slafkovsky was also punished with about a minute to make the match, spoiling the chances of a rise.

The Red Wings therefore won by the brand of 4 to 2.

The sequence of matches with at least one point of Lane Hutson stopped nine games, he who was bleached from the scoring sheet.

The Canadians will be back in action on Saturday, while he will welcome Jake Allen and the Devils at the Bell Center.
