- A 40 -year -old woman was attacked with the knife in Lausanne.
- His spouse, a 53 -year -old Swiss, is the author of the assault.
- The incident did not take place in the Mallepirie reception center.
- The injuries of the two men intervened to help are not deadly.
The Swiss 40 years victim of a female attempt on Tuesday At the Chemin de la Prairie in Lausanne is still hospitalized in serious condition. “But his days are not in danger,” says Vincent Derouand.
The investigation opened immediately after the facts being in its initial phase, the official of the public prosecutor’s communication will not provide any other details as to the number or nature of the injuries suffered by the victim.
The Lausannoise, violently attacked with the knife by her spouse – a 53 -year -old Swiss – is a “resident of the Melleypraitation reception center”, located near the assault, reports Cathy Gornik. The media and public relations manager of the Department of Health and Social Action (DSAS) insists that the aggression took place in the street and not within this institution which welcomes women and children victims of domestic violence.
-The center is secure
Director of the Mallepirie reception center, Philippe Bigler also underlines the importance of the precision brought by the DSAS: “Security has been ensured in the center at any time,” he said.
For obvious reasons, he will not say whether the existing security measures have been strengthened following Tuesday events. “We never give information about it,” he explains while pressing their effectiveness. “There has never been an assault inside the center.” Moreover, to his knowledge, no more or less similar case would have occurred on the outskirts of the structure opened in 1976.
Attacker without criminal record
Arrested shortly after the facts in Prilly, the attacker was not known to the police. “He has not been the subject of any conviction in Switzerland, and no criminal procedure was underway with the public prosecutor at the time of the facts,” said the communications manager of the public prosecutor.
Before fleeing, the fifties had still injured two other people. Two men aged 50 and 45, respectively affected to a forearm (by ball and stabbing) and a thigh. Both intervened to help the victim, who managed to take refuge inside the home.
