The dissolution of the ultra-left group the Jeune Garde has been “studied for 10 days by the Beauvau services”, according to Bruno Retailleau's entourage

The dissolution of the ultra-left group the Young Guard is “studied for 10 days by the Beauvau services”revealed Thursday January 23 to the political service of franceinfo, the entourage of the Minister of the Interior. Tuesday, Bruno Retailleau affirmed, during a conference organized by the Center for Reflection on Internal Security, that the dissolution of the small anti-fascist group, created in 2018, could be a “solution”. He was responding to a question from the president of the Némésis collective which brings together nearly 200 far-right identity feminists, and whose “combat”.

The Young Guard was co-founded in 2018 by rebellious MP Raphaël Arnault and is presented as an anti-fascist self-defense group to respond to a particularly violent extreme right in the streets in . Last summer, eight alleged members of the Young Guard were indicted on suspicion of anti-Semitic assault against a 15-year-old girl, whom they suspected of belonging to the Jewish Defense League.

Bruno Retailleau's entourage did not wish to react, however, to the controversial remarks made by the Minister of the Interior, when he gave his support to the “combat” from the president of the Némésis collective, Alice Cordier (a pseudonym) who questioned him. “Nemesis. I wanted to congratulate the young lady I see. Bravo for your fight. You know that I am very close”launched Bruno Retailleau.

The remarks were captured in a very short video relayed on the Némésis X account which is pleased to be “heard by the public authorities”, “for the first time since our creation [en 2019]”. “Immense pride” also reacted the president of the collective, Alice Cordier, on her X account. “After years of humiliation, bank accounts blown up, social networks censored, violence by far-left activists, incriminating articles… After all that I was congratulated by our Minister of the Interior “she adds. Since Tuesday, the video has been widely shared in identity circles.
