Youssef Amrani, Moroccan ambassador to the United States, participated in the inauguration ceremony of Donald Trump as the 47th president of the United States. This took place at the Capitol in the presence of senior American politicians and legislators, foreign dignitaries and representatives of the private sector and civil society of the country.
At the end of this ceremony, Youssef Amrani recalled, in a statement to the press, “the strong messages expressed in the Letter of Congratulations sent by His Majesty King Mohammed VI to President Trump, on the exceptional bilateral relationship that links Morocco to the United States, as well as the historical depth of the bilateral strategic alliance and its prospects promising future».

This is an exceptional partnership whose specific genesis the ambassador did not fail to highlight, recalling that Morocco was the first country to recognize the independence of the United States on the international scene.
The diplomat, in the same vein, expressed the Kingdom’s determination to strengthen its historic partnership with the United States, identifying to this end immense opportunities to expand bilateral relations in key areas such as security, economic cooperation, cultural exchanges and innovation.
