Boost from Baraka to promote Larache

The minister, who was accompanied by the governor of the Larache province, Bouassam El Alamine, deputies and elected officials of the province and officials of the ministry, thus gave the kick-off for the start of the construction completion works of the deviation of the RP4702 over 14.2 km at the level of the Kharroub dam reservoir, the cost of which amounts to 23.8 million dirhams (MDH).

This work will complete the remaining parts of the project, the execution of which has stopped at a rate of 70% and whose overall cost will amount to 101 MDH.

Baraka then inquired about the progress of the construction project of the unclassified road linking the RP4702 to the RP4403 crossing the douars of Ain Ksab, Khaldiyne and Mghazliyne over 11.5 km, of which Completion is planned for the end of February 2025, for a total cost of MAD 14.6 million.

This visit was also an opportunity to inquire about the progress of operations included under the regional development program, in partnership with the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima regional council.

This program provides for the doubling of 103 km of roads, the widening and strengthening of 43.1 km of roads and the carrying out of some strategic studies for the development of the regional structuring network for an overall budgetary envelope of 1.775 billion dirhams (MMDH ).

The minister also inaugurated the project to widen and strengthen the RP4704 linking Tazia to Moulay Abdeslam over 10 km, which cost approximately 43.4 MDH. This project made it possible to develop the road connection between Larache and Moulay Abdeslam, minimizing travel time and improving traffic conditions.

Mr. Baraka also visited the site of the construction completion works of the engineering structure on Oued Lakbir, where he inquired about the progress of the project which should be completed in April 2025.

This project, for which an envelope of 11.4 million dirhams has been allocated, will make it possible to remove one of the frequently submerged points on the road network in the province of Larache.

On this occasion, a presentation on the liquid sanitation projects of Beni Arous and Ayacha and the projects for drilling and their equipment by the Loukkos Hydraulic Basin Agency (ABHL) in the communes of Zaaroura and Beni Arous was made. presented to the minister.

In a statement to the press, the minister stressed that this visit was an opportunity to kick off several road projects which will play an essential role in opening up several rural communities in the province of Larache and the strengthening the attractiveness of the province.

“A lot of work is being carried out in the field of liquid sanitation in the communes of Beni Arous and Ayacha, in accordance with the High Royal Guidelines, in addition to projects relating to wastewater treatment, which will have an impact very positive on these communes”, said Mr. Baraka, noting that the National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water (ONEE) will ensure the supply of drinking water to all these rural communes (12 at total), so to achieve a coverage rate of 100% in the province of Larache.

The minister also emphasized the importance of water exploration drilling projects in terms of mobilizing the necessary water resources, stressing the need to strengthen convergence with the Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima region. for the realization of several road projects in the province of Larache.

He also noted that a budget envelope of more than 1.7 billion dirhams was allocated to the implementation of road projects in the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, with a view to opening up the different provinces of the region. , especially rural areas.

These projects, he continued, will help to bring new dynamics to the region in terms of attracting investments, particularly in the province of Larache, which has several promising projects, such as the Loukkos agropole.
