“Le Soleil” releases the special magazine “Turkiye – Senegal, cooperation in progress”

In partnership with the Turkish embassy in Senegal, Le Soleil produced a special magazine on the relationship between the two countries. The award ceremony for this production was held yesterday in the premises of the embassy of the Ottoman country, in the presence of Ambassador Nur Sagman and the general director of Astre de Hann, Lamine Niang.

The long-awaited magazine on relations between Turkey and Senegal, produced by journalists from “Soleil”, has just been published. A masterpiece produced under the supervision of the Turkish Embassy team in Senegal. It will also be available on the “Soleil” digital platforms. The paper version will be distributed throughout the country to communicate more about the beautiful relationship between Turkey and Senegal. A relationship dating back over 60 years. Received with all honors by the ambassador of the Ottoman country to Senegal, the general director of “Soleil”, Lamine Niang, was delighted with the quality and professionalism of his staff who produced this magazine.

He indicated that the visit to Turkey by the Head of State, Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye, illustrates the excellent relations between the two countries, which go back a very long time. According to Mr. Niang, this is what Le Soleil tried to materialize through this edition. Thus, he hopes that the feedback will be positive when distribution is done throughout the country, both in paper version and digitally. “It is a way of paying a wonderful tribute to the two countries, of being part of this dynamic propelled and driven by the President of the Republic,” declared Lamine Niang. Very happy, the Turkish ambassador to Senegal, Nur Sagman, expressed her satisfaction for this beautiful achievement of the “Sun” on relations between Senegal and Turkey.

“This type of project is a first. I have been a diplomat for 33 years, this is the first time that I have carried out such a project,” she exclaims. She expressed all her joy to see in the content of the magazine very interesting subjects that the Senegalese will surely like as well as her Turkish compatriots. She maintains that the work was not easy. However, she was able to convince the Turkish entities established in Senegal and their private sector, notably Summa, to participate in the creation of this jewel. The ambassador also appreciated the themes on cultural relations between the two countries carried out in the document. The coordinator of the magazine, Elhadji Ibrahima Thiam, present at the award ceremony, explained that a journalist from “Soleil” was sent to Türkiye to produce reports.
