President Bassirou Diomaye Faye presents his condolences to the Mouride community

A few hours after the announcement of the death of the Mouride dignitary, Serigne Dame Atta Mbacké, grandson of the founder of Mouridism, Khadimou Rassoul, the President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye presented his condolences to the Khalif General and to the entire Mouride community .

“I present my most saddened condolences to Serigne Mountakha Mbacké, Caliph General of the Mourides, to the Mouride community and to all Muslims, following the reminder to God of Serigne Dame Atta Mbacké. May his soul rest in peace and may his example continues to inspire our nation,” he wrote on his page X (Ex Twitter).

As a reminder, Serigne Dame Abdourahmane Mbacké better known as Serigne Dame Atta Mbacké was the caliph of Serigne Ibrahima Mbacké Ibn Khadim Rassoul. He was part of the group of Serigne Touba’s oldest grandsons at the time.
