He decapitates his friend and cuts off his penis: a man sentenced to 30 years in prison in Var

A man, accused of having decapitated and emasculated his victim, was sentenced Friday in Draguignan (Var) to thirty years of criminal imprisonment, accompanied by a two-thirds security sentence, for murder accompanied by acts of torture and barbarism.

At the end of his sentence, the man will have to submit to socio-judicial monitoring for 20 years and, in the event of non-compliance with this obligation, will be punished by an additional seven years of imprisonment, ordered the Var Assize Court in a verdict in accordance with the prosecution's requisitions.

On January 7, 2022, the murderer, then aged 38, presented himself to the Fréjus gendarmerie (Var) with a bag containing the head and genitals of his victim killed the day before.

He then told the gendarmes “that he had cut off a man's head and penis” at his home in Fréjus.
