The La Strada film club, in Decazeville, continues its work of exploring and rebroadcasting great classics, focusing either on an actor, an actress, a director, in a given period, or even in a nationality (the Italian cinema for example).
For the last session of the cycle dedicated to Romy Schneider, 22 people showed up for “Ludwig”, a large and very ambitious 4-hour film by Luchino Visconti. An intermission with pizzas and drinks allowed a little exchange between people before the second part of the film. It was very friendly and praised by people who appreciated the comments of Rémy Romain, an informed film buff.
The film club does not attract a large crowd, it is mainly cinema enthusiasts, connoisseurs or fans of a specific theme or even a few curious people. But this completes the plural offer of the Strada which maintains its status as an arthouse cinema.
-The next cycle of the film club will be dedicated to Abbas Kiarostami (1940-2016), Iranian screenwriter and producer.
