The Federation will now apply point withdrawals

The Senegalese Basketball Federation (FSBB) announces a strong decision to combat incidents during matches. Last season was, in fact, marked by numerous cases, most of which involved throwing objects on the floor, disturbances during and on the occasion of a meeting, insults and derogatory remarks towards -vis the officials of the meeting.

Thus the Federal Legal and Disciplinary Commission (CFJD) has decided to take all the necessary measures to guarantee the smooth running of the national championship. “In accordance with the provisions of article 70 section B paragraph 6 of the general regulations, the withdrawal of points counting for the ranking in a competition will be applied”, we read in the press release from the body.

The CFJD also recalls that “any club dependent on the Federation which usually accepts the direct or indirect benefit of interventions in its favor, groupings, supporters, friends or any third parties is responsible, vis-à-vis the Federation of all acts carried out by these groups which would be contrary to the regulations”. She asks clubs to act as a Good Father.
