Bry’s favorite lives up to its name

For the first time in his career, Favory de Bry (2) will appear barefoot at the start of a race. If Romain Derieux makes such a decision when his resident has just celebrated his 10th birthday, it is obviously because the game is worth it. It must be said that the son of The Best Madrik remains on a victory in Cagnes and has inherited a very favorable position behind the autostart for his return to a course where he has already won (2,100 m, GP, autostart). Many elements therefore come together to see him achieve a good performance, which pushed the forecaster to ParisTurfCédric Bloquet, to make this Favorite…his favorite. Furioso Fligny (6) remains on good performances at the start of the meeting. Without competition from the younger guys, he can hope to win here, even though he comes in shod. Lack of favorable commitment, according to his mentor Jo Corbanie, Astronascente Zac (5) has not run in the last five weeks. The opportunities to stand out are not legion, he will have ambitions here, even if we may prefer him on the holding courses. Fourth in the Quinté+ of January 4 contested on the course which concerns us, Galleon (15) will only have against him having to start in the second line. We must resume Warrior Castelets (7), despite the disappointment caused at the end, because its effectiveness on this route no longer needs to be demonstrated. We weren’t expecting Mister Donald (16) on the same holiday, December 28 in Quinté+. Faced with tougher opposition and a shorter distance, he can still stand out. Golden Visa (9) has a good commitment but unfortunately finds himself at the end of the first line. If he remains wise, Peak Fire (8), who has been disqualified 6 times and made a mistake at the start twice in his last 10 races, can slip into the finish of this Prix d’Erbray.

Cédric Bloquet’s prediction: 2 – 6 – 5 – 15 – 7 – 16 – 9 – 8

100% Quinté: Johann Longépine prefers Furioso Fligny

For the 100% Quinté show, to be found every day on our YouTube channel, Johan Longépine placed at the top of his prediction Furioso Fligny, who has already obtained three runners-up at Vincennes since the start of the meeting.

Furioso Fligny (6) : “Lastly, in the Prix de Breteuil (Quinté+, 2,100 m, auto. GP), he behaved well after launching hostilities on the climb. Although he had to negotiate the final turn thickly, he was aggressive until the end to obtain third place. Already noticed two weeks earlier by finishing well behind Cobra Killer Gar et Instructor while he was unshod for the first time, this time he is faced with a more modest field and will have a good card to play, driven by Jean-Michel Bazire.”

Astronascente Zac (5) : “This competitor trained in Belgium often makes successful forays on our soil. He will appear unshod on all four feet on Thursday, something he has not done often (4 times for 3 victories) since his debut. Winner of the Prix d’Argelès (2,850 m; GP), which included Galleon (3e) et Mister Donald (9e), and prepared for this objective, he will have a very good role to play on Thursday.”

Mister Donald (16) : “After a series of lackluster outings, he showed a completely different side recently by returning to victory in the Prix de Nozay (Quinté+; 2,700 m; GP), on December 28. He will have to start from the second row but given what he has produced recently, he certainly has the means to take an active part in the finish if he manages to get brought back.”

Galleon (15) : “Fourth in the Prix de Breteuil, which we have already mentioned with our favorite, he was not unworthy as he made a small comeback and had to start (already) in the second row behind the wings of the car. There is no reason not to trust him when he finds fairly similar conditions and gets along well with Esteban De Jésus (78% in the top 5).”

Favory de Bry (2) : “He has just won at Cagnes-sur-Mer, a racecourse where Romain Derieux, his trainer, is enjoying undeniable success and presents himself with high morale! Unshod on all four feet for the first time… at 10 years old, he is however faced with tougher opposition than during his last success but has already shown his advantage on the 2,100 meter course behind the autostart. ”
