The SLAM Morocco Association is back! She is organizing the 5th edition of the National Poetry Slam Championship on March 21 and 22 to celebrate World Poetry Day. Organized in partnership with the French Institute of Casablanca, this event will highlight emerging talents in Morocco. “Since its creation, the Association has defended a clear vision: giving everyone a voice, without filter, without elitism, just a space for expression and with the power of words,” says Fatine Moubsit, founder of the Slam Maroc Association. and festival director. Indeed, the D’KLAM Festival 2025 is much more than a competition. It is a real artistic springboard which will allow the victorious person to represent the Kingdom on the international stage. The winner participates in the World Poetry Slam Organization (WPSO) and the African Poetry Slam Cup (CASP).

“This double meeting is a unique opportunity to promote the cultural and linguistic wealth of Morocco throughout the world and create artistic bridges with other slam artists from around the world,” explains Ms. Moubsit. In this sense, the festival is being prepared from December 2024 with a series of training workshops and open stages organized in several Moroccan cities. These meetings, led by slam and theater professionals, will offer participants spaces for expression and sharing. The themes covered during the workshops will focus in particular on poetic writing, declamation and stage performance, bodily expression and stage performance and the construction of a professional artistic project. “These training moments will allow participants to develop their style, refine their technique and strengthen their confidence on stage,” it says.
