The Finance Committee of the National Assembly gives the green light to the summons of Alexis Kohler, the francinfo political service learned on Wednesday January 15 from the entourage of the president of the committee. The deputies voted 37 votes for, 18 against (LR, EPR, MoDem).
Alexis Kohler, a senior civil servant very close to Emmanuel Macron and the presidency, will therefore have to explain the causes of the budgetary slippage, failing to be able to hear the president directly. The former Prime Ministers, Élisabeth Borne, Gabriel Attal, and the former ministers in charge at Bercy, Bruno Le Maire and Thomas Cazenave, have already been interviewed.

This was necessary from the moment the Élysée had been involved in the decisions taken by the government in the face of the spiraling deficits.
