Power outage in Bonneville and Thon: a Defense helicopter cut electrical cables

At the beginning of the afternoon, the residents of Bonneville and Thon-Samson in the commune of Andenne found themselves without electricity. The cause: the blades of a military helicopter from Beauvechain cut electrical cables in a field in Bonneville.

A team from AIEG, network manager, quickly intervened on the scene, which made it possible, initially, to restore power to Thon-Samson and part of the village of Bonneville. For the others, power had not yet been restored at the end of the afternoon because AIEG technicians had to call a tractor to access the cut cables from the pylon in the field.
