The Africa Collective, in collaboration with its partners such as the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) and the AfCFTA (African Continental Free Trade Zone) Secretariat, has unveiled details of its program for Davos 2025. Scheduled for January 20-24 at the Hard Rock Hotel in Davos, the program highlights the ambition to strengthen Africa’s strategic presence on the global stage.

With the central theme “Leading in 2025: from regional consolidation to the global African agenda”, this event includes:

  • 50 renowned speakers, such as HE Wamkele Mene (Secretary General of the AfCFTA), Prof. Benedict Oramah (President of Afreximbank), and Sim Tshabalala (CEO of Standard Bank Group).
  • 10 thematic sessions addressing key topics such as:
    • Industrialization as a driver of global competitiveness;
    • Infrastructure as a catalyst for African economic growth;
    • The partnership to stimulate local innovation capacity.

A startup and investor luncheon, as well as a media reception, will promote networking and discussions on topics such as investment opportunities in Africa.

The program will take place in strategically designed locations within the Africa Collective Hub, including:

-
  • A networking zone in the lobby of the Hard Rock Hotel;
  • The Glass Pavilion, a transparent space promoting open exchanges;
  • The Chapel, an iconic venue for the closing session.

Since its official launch in 2020, Africa Collective has worked to amplify the continent’s voice on the global stage. By emphasizing public-private collaboration, the program aims to:

  • Strengthen African competitiveness;
  • Promote the AfCFTA as a key lever for economic integration;
  • Attract investments for sustainable solutions.

This program, supported by partners such as Novartis, Ventures Platform and Old Mutual, highlights Africa’s transformative potential and its role in global sustainable development.
