“One of the most complicated geopolitical contexts in generations.” President and Executive Director Borge Brende set the scene on Tuesday afternoon for the 55th World Economic Forum which takes place from January 20 to 24 in Davos, wanting to believe that in “this polarized and fragmented world, there is still room for collaborations (…) and to improve the state of the world.” In any case, this is what the approximately 3,000 participants representing 130 countries expected in the Grisons station will be working on under the watchful eye of the Swiss army and law enforcement.

Let’s raise one of the first questions. If Donald Trump had not hidden the fact that he greatly appreciated his two trips to the Swiss Alps during his first presidency, he will not be physically present but will engage in a remote intervention, “in interaction with the participants”, on Thursday after- noon, three days after the presidential inauguration ceremony in the United States
