Prince Harry went out of his way to find a snack for an elderly victim of the Los Angeles fires.
The prince and his wife Meghan volunteered at the Pasadena Convention Center on Friday and Harry – who was wearing a hat and mask – approached a bedridden man to ask if he wanted a sandwich, water or something else to eat from a food cart. Since they didn’t have what the man wanted, Harry kindly left the site to find him a donut.
Mayor Victor Gordo, who was pushing the food cart, told the Pasadena Star newspaper: “The gentleman said, ‘What I’d really like is a donut. Harry replied: There’s no donut here, but I’ll find one. He left and 10 minutes later he came back with a donut.”
The mayor continued, “The man looked up and said, ‘I guess I need my carbs and my sugar.’
-The man had no idea who Harry was and allegedly told him: “If you ever run for office, I will vote for you.”
Harry and Meghan helped distribute essential supplies to victims of the fire and also met with rescue teams and members of the Los Angeles Police Department.
