acquisition of Delfood in Belgium

(CercleFinance.com) – Ahold Delhaize announces that its Belgian brand Delhaize has entered into an agreement with the Louis Delhaize group to acquire all of the shares of Delfood NV.

This acquisition includes the 325 Louis Delhaize points of sale, logistics activities as well as the headquarters in Belgium.

The objective is to strengthen its position on the Belgian market, particularly in the convenience segment.

The transaction, subject to approval by the Belgian Competition Authority, is expected to be finalized by the end of 2025.
