Where do we ask for 1 or 3 months of GPU with the points? I only see Core and PC in possible exchanges with points.

You request the Xbox Game Pass Core which is automatically converted if you are already a subscriber.
15000 pts = 38 days of ultimate.
To get the GPU completely free you need 144078pts (150000pts in reality) per year.
BUT, while you wait for your GPU subscription to end, it’s even cheaper
Because the cumulative months of Xbox Game Pass Core subscriptions will be converted to GPU at a ratio of 2:1.
3 Months of Game Pass Core becomes 45 days of Ultimate.
= 121667pts per year for the GPU (or 135000pts for 405 days)
(Please note that this 2nd method saves a lot of Microsoft points but it is not completely free in the end because you have to buy 1 month of GPU (wherever you want) to be able to do the conversion, and yes the 1 € offers generally work )

Because at your rate of 250 points/week, it takes you 13 months to reach the 14,000 rewards points allowing you to exchange for a month of Free Game Pass Ultimate.

& this figure does not take into account daily, weekly & monthly bonus points.
You can easily earn a minimum of 250 points per day only with research and they have removed the fact of winning an achievement in a game: p (in reality we far exceed +350)
To maximize the points earned, you just need to have an Xbox console, an Android smartphone (with Xbox app, bing and or start) and a PC, as well as use the edge browser.
Even at 330pts/day it comes to 127750pts per year.
