In a moving interview broadcast on CNN, actor James Woods spoke about the “chaotic” evacuation of his Pacific Palisades home while his neighborhood was already burning under flames.
The 77-year-old actor had already shared several spectacular videos of the fire on his X account when his neighborhood was evacuated on Tuesday. After experiencing a hellish night, he returned to this painful ordeal on Wednesday morning in a heartbreaking television interview, during which he burst into tears several times.

“One day you’re swimming in the pool and the next day it’s all gone,” the actor said.Once upon a time in America while trying hard to hold back her tears.
“My 8-year-old niece told us last night that she broke her piggy bank to help us rebuild our house,” he added, sobbing.
Woods said he and his family were in the epicenter of the fire when they were forced to urgently evacuate with the clothes on their backs.
The actor was particularly emotional as he recounted how he helped save his 94-year-old neighbor who suffered from dementia. Woods had the sense of mind to notify a neighbor who had not yet left his house to go get the old man.
“I thought I would be stronger than this,” Woods said, trying to suppress tears.
“It was so chaotic. It was like hell. All the houses around us were on fire,” he said.
