Beerschot-Anderlecht threatened by snow? The Antwerp club gives an update – All football

Unsurprisingly, the heavy snowfall last night calls into question the good performance of this evening’s match at Kiel. But Beerschot is monitoring the situation closely.

Three of the four semi-finalists of the Belgian Cup are known. But who from Beerschot or Anderlecht will join Club Brugge, Racing Genk and Antwerp, qualified this week for the last four? On the Beerschot side, we of course hope to create the (only) surprise and offer ourselves an Antwerp derby in the semi-final.

But for that, this Beerschot-Anderlecht will still have to take place. The heavy snowfall last night and this morning covered Kiel in a white coat and the situation is being closely monitored by the club.

Beerschot is doing its utmost to ensure that the meeting can be held in optimal conditions, as announced by the spokesperson and press manager of the Rats, Bram Vaesen : “The stadium heating is working and we are monitoring the situation closely so that the match against RSCA can take place,” he said.

After the heavy falls this morning, the sky is now much calmer and as predicted by the MRI, snow is no longer on the agenda for this afternoon. The lights are therefore green, for the moment, regarding the good performance of the match.

However, the roads will be difficult and dangerous, and getting to the Antwerp Olympic Stadium this evening may be particularly dangerous…
