Cement deliveries to Morocco reached nearly 13.7 million tonnes (Mt) at the end of December 2024, marking an increase of 9.45% compared to the same period in 2023, according to data from the Ministry of Planning national territory, town planning, housing and city policy.
By segment, distribution remains in the lead with 7.88 Mt, followed by ready-mixed concrete (BPE) with 3.05 Mt, prefabricated concrete (PREFA) with 1.33 Mt, building with 446,063 tonnes, infrastructure with 909,027 tons, and finally mortars with 69,146 tons.
These figures demonstrate the resilience of the Moroccan cement sector, supported by increased demand in the building and infrastructure sectors. They come from data provided by members of the Professional Association of Cement Makers (APC), including Asment Temara, Ciments de l’Atlas, Ciments du Maroc, LafargeHolcim Maroc and Novacim (member since January 2024).
The positive dynamics of the sector reflect a gradual recovery in construction activities and major infrastructure projects, thus contributing to the national economic recovery.
