Sixteen departments on orange snow and ice vigilance

Météo-France has placed 16 departments in the north-east of France on orange snow-ice alert due to“a winter episode requiring special attention” which is scheduled to begin Saturday evening. The sixteen departments will go into orange vigilance from Saturday evening, including two, Seine-Maritime and Oise, after 8 p.m., indicates the latest meteorologists' bulletin published at 6 a.m. “The highest risk period extends from Saturday 8 p.m. to Sunday 3 a.m.alerts La Chaîne Météo*.

Météo-France calls for a “special vigilance” because the “Ice, even in small quantities, can be particularly annoying for road traffic”.
