The Public Security Department (DSP) has announced a major decision concerning the role of Community Security Agents (ASP). In a note addressed to the central, urban and special commissioners, the Director of Public Security, Ndiara SENE, ordered the end of the involvement of ASPs in traffic regulation missions, vehicle control and any other activity on the public highway.
This measure, which came into force upon signing the note, aims to refocus these tasks on qualified and specialized agents, in accordance with the requirements of professionalism in the field of public security. Strict application of this directive is required of all units concerned.
