Faced with the scale of the disaster in Mayotte, Prime Minister François Bayrou announces a first measure under his government in favor of the affected department.
Following a decision taken by President Emmanuel Macron in the interministerial crisis unit, the Prime Minister signed a circular concerning all public officials of the State and hospitals in Mayotte.
“The State deploys the necessary actions to protect its agents and support them, as well as the necessary measures to ensure the continuity of public service in Mayotte.“, says Matignon.
This circular sets up a simplified and coordinated circuit for identifying the professional and personal needs of public officials on site, in conjunction with the ministry responsible for the civil service.
It allows the mobilization of ministerial support systems for agents and their families in terms of emergency accommodation, rehousing, catering and psychological support.
The circular recalls the tools that can be used by department heads to ensure the continuity of public service, and organizes the establishment of pools of agents to relay and support agents on site.
“With the President of the Republic, we are keen to support public officials, particularly committed to Mayotte, providing essential reinforcements to ensure the continuity of services to the population.declares François Bayrou. I want to salute all the agents who are mobilizing to support the people of Mahor in the face of the difficulties they are going through.”
