The Senegalese artist Ziko Alseyni, known for his artistic commitment to development, returns to the forefront with his latest single entitled “SARGAL Sunu Référentiel Sénégal 2050”. This title is a continuation of its rich musical lineage focused on themes of social, cultural and economic promotion.
For several years, Ziko Alseyni, whose real name is Alseyni Baldé, has distinguished himself with strong musical works such as “ASEPEX – Made in Sénégal”, “Beautiful Sénégal”, and more recently, “50 years of FIDAK”, a song dedicated to the fiftieth anniversary of the Dakar International Fair. This last work earned him particular recognition, materialized by a trophy awarded by the Director General of CICES.
This trophy, inspired by the African Renaissance Monument, symbolizes the interconnection between culture, commerce and tourism, pillars that the artist aims to promote both nationally and internationally.
The single “SARGAL”, which means “tribute”, is intended to be a citizen contribution to the promotion of the Senegal 2050 National Framework. Through this work, Ziko Alseyni calls for synergy between all entities in society to converge towards collective progress. and durable.
The artist emphasizes the urgency of focusing efforts on the fight against underdevelopment, urging every citizen to work together in the general interest and for future generations.
“After the important milestone of democratic elections, it is time to live and work together to build our dear nation,” he said in his statement.
In “SARGAL”, Ziko Alseyni invites the Senegalese to overcome social, political and economic divisions to work to protect the rights of everyone, while preserving a peaceful social climate. He considers that only fair and sustainable social cohesion will make it possible to meet the challenges of national development.
“This single is a complementary contribution to raise awareness, motivate and galvanize citizens to act together in social harmony and in the common interest,” he adds.
The official launch of the national and international promotion program of “SARGAL” is scheduled for Monday, December 30, 2024 in Dakar. This project is part of the Dream Senegal Development (DSD) cultural program, of which Ziko Alseyni is the initiator and manager.
Through this initiative, the artist aims to strengthen Senegal's place on the cultural scene and contribute to the growth of trade and tourism, in accordance with the objectives of the Senegal 2050 Framework.
