'The judges gave him a Christmas present', Fury doesn't accept his defeat against Usyk

Beaten for the second time by the Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk on Saturday at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, British boxer Tyson Fury challenged the judges' decision and believes he won his fight.

A new defeat that will not go away. Seven months after being beaten by a split decision by Oleksandr Usyk, Tyson Fury suffered another setback for his revenge against the Ukrainian heavyweight on Saturday evening in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This time, the Briton lost on points by unanimous decision of the three judges. Hard, very hard to digest for Tyson Fury who did not speak directly in the ring but a little later at a press conference. Cold but still bitter, even a bad loser: “Look, it's like that. I'm not going to cry over my fate, it's done now (…) But I feel a little wronged, a lot in fact, he declared after the confrontation. The judges gave him a Christmas present.

“In my mind, there is no doubt that I won this fight”

And the Gypsy King ruminated: “I feel like I won both fights. I know I had to knock him out but it's boxing and it happens. In my mind, there's no doubt that I won this fight.” Regarding his future in boxing, Fury, 36, refused to say whether or not he would face his Ukrainian opponent again: “Maybe we will, maybe we won't . Who knows?”

If the Briton was disappointed and frustrated, Oleksandr Usyk, still undefeated in 23 fights, savored his new triumph while paying tribute to his opponent: “He's a great fighter, it's a great performance,” Usyk said about de Fury, who was undefeated in 35 fights until losing in their four-belt unification bout last May. “24 incredible rounds for my career,” concluded the Ukrainian.
