65% of French people judge François Bayrou’s debut at Matignon negatively

Stuck between the reluctance of the left and the demands of the right, François Bayrou still dreams of revealing his casting before Christmas. Even before knowing the ministers, the French already take a dim view of the next government, as revealed by an Odoxa-Backbone survey for Le Figaro. Nearly two thirds of them (65%) do not trust the Prime Minister to appoint a team which “meets their expectations”.

It must be said that the boss of MoDem takes on his new functions with a slight disadvantage: only 42% of French people say they have a «opinion positive» from him, compared to 57% for his predecessor, Michel Barnier, when he joined Matignon last September.
