Paul Arcand’s press review | Mazan affair: “Dominique Pelicot was sentenced to the maximum sentence”

On the occasion of the press review of December 19, his last before the holiday break, Paul Arcand returns to the Mazan affair after a 3 and a half month trial. Dominique Pelicot, accused of drugging and raping his ex-wife, was sentenced Thursday to the maximum sentence, 20 years in prison.

Sentences of 3 years, 2 of which were suspended, were handed down for the 50 co-defendants in this case.

Gisèle Pelicot has become a symbol that invites women to be straight [et] strong. We saw solidity in his testimony. Every time she was, like today, in the courtroom, she was dignified, but she had to struggle in the face of prejudice.
