Barron, who is 23, has scored one goal this season in 17 games. Acquired from the Colorado Avalanche in March 2022 in exchange for Artturi Lehkonen, the Nova Scotia native played 109 games with the Habs, amassing 13 goals and 18 assists. Despite some offensive talent, he was never able to establish himself permanently with the Montreal team.

Older at 28, Carrier has 245 games under his belt in the NHL, all played with the Predators. The Quebec athlete has accumulated 11 goals and 58 assists in the NHL. This season, it’s one goal and six assists in 28 games for him. His best season in the NHL dates back to 2021-2022, when he had three goals and 27 assists for 30 points.

Carrier’s name is currently on injured reserve after suffering an upper-body injury earlier this month.
