All of Hawaii was looking for Hannah Kobayashi, she didn’t know anything about it

Strange from start to finish, the story of Hannah Kobayashi. After a month of anguish, the 30-year-old Hawaiian finally reconnected with her family on December 11, from Mexico. An immense relief for those close to him, who were beginning to imagine the worst scenarios. Hannah’s father, who had gone to Los Angeles to look for his daughter, ended up committing suicide after thirteen days of unsuccessful efforts, thinking he would never see his offspring again.

Hannah’s mysterious disappearance made headlines in the American press and beyond and intrigued the general public. The person concerned knew nothing about it. “I wasn’t aware of everything that was happening in the media while I was away, and I’m still having a hard time getting over it,” the photographer wrote in a statement sent by her aunt to NBC Los Angeles . Hannah, who was also unaware of her father’s death, says she now wants to focus on his “healing”, “peace” and “creativity”.

“I am deeply grateful to my family and everyone who has shown me kindness and compassion during this time,” added the 30-year-old. Upon her return to the United States on Sunday, Hannah Kobayashi was questioned by American authorities, who made sure she was okay. Los Angeles police have officially closed the case, concluding it was a voluntary disappearance.

We will probably never know what the Hawaiian did during this month of solitary travel. On November 8, she took a plane from Mauï to New York, but disappeared during a stopover in Los Angeles. The “Daily Mail” explained last week that the photographer was traveling with her ex-boyfriend and an Argentinian couple, with whom they had concluded a sham marriage agreement. The three people had gotten back on the plane to the Big Apple, not Hannah.
