The memorandum was signed by the Minister Delegate, in charge of Digital Transition and Administration Reform, Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni and the Saudi Minister of Telecommunications and Information Technologies, Abdullah bin Amer Al-Swaha, in on the sidelines of the United Nations Forum on Internet Governance, which takes place from December 15 to 19 in Saudi Arabia.
This partnership aims to strengthen coordination and cooperation between the two parties, through support for research and innovation, the adoption of new technologies in the field of E-government and the sharing of best practices, as well as as the consolidation of specialized capacities.
The meeting between Ms. Seghrouchni and Mr. Al-Swaha was also an opportunity to examine ways to strengthen the technical partnership between the two countries and the development of digital infrastructure for a sustainable digital transition. The 19th edition of the United Nations Internet Governance Forum sees the participation of member states of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO), including Morocco.
More than 10,000 participants from 160 countries, as well as a thousand international speakers, are also taking part in the United Nations Internet Governance Forum.
Some 300 thematic sessions and workshops are on the program for this event, focusing in particular on international trends and policies in Internet governance.
