Anadolu Agency (AA) has revealed the composition of the jury for the international news photography competition, “Istanbul Photo Awards” 2025. This jury brings together recognized experts in various fields such as sport, environment, portraiture, and war photography. Among them are prestigious winners of the Pulitzer and World Press Photo prizes.
This year’s jury includes Ami Vitale, photographer and producer for “National Geographic,” and Carol Guzy, award-winning photojournalist. Also present are Yuri Kozyrev, member of the NOOR agency, and Goran Tomasevic, photojournalist from the “Globe and Mail”. Visual narrator Marion Mertens, visual media consultant Michel Scotto, and Getty Images head of sports photojournalism Cameron Spencer are also among them, alongside photojournalists Ahmet Sel and Fırat Yurdakul.
Professional photographers are invited to submit their works in ten categories covering themes such as news, sports, nature, environment, daily life and portraits. Entrants can submit up to a maximum of 120 photographs, with submissions split between four works in the single categories and two in the serial categories.
